Blood!

Gave blood today! Finally! This is the third time that I have tried - 3rd time my finger was pricked (the worst part of this blood donating business in my opinion). The only difference between now and the previous 2 times: my iron level was high enough that they took a pint of my blood.

The nurse had me sit in the chair. She gets everything prepared and then proceeds to put a towel on my shirt to - I assume, catch any blood that might squirt out. Reminded me of the first time I donated blood. The nurse apparently didn't quite know what she was doing because she stuck the needle in and all I saw next is a splatter of blood on my face, neck and shirt. It was lovely.

I find the needle fascinating!! ^^
