Palomino

Went to PALOMINO the other night with some friends for dinner. Not all that impressed. The interior looked nice and it seemed like a pretty nice place. We had the calamari for appetizer and it was pretty good. The bread and the marina sauce dip was delicious. I ordered the pomodoro (my favorite) and it came out salty and not all that great. I was not impressed! The view is really pretty though because its on Embarcadero so you get a really cute view of the water there.

Overall: EH - would not recommend it!

Burma Superstar!

I love Burma Superstar! Wait, no correction - I love the RAINBOW SALAD at Burma Superstar! The Rainbow Salad of the Burmese Food consists of 22 different ingredients including 4 different type of noodles, green papaya, tofu, onions, dried shrimp, (or vegetarian) and a tamarind dressing. It is absolutely delicious and I can eat it forever and ever and ever!

Ice Cream!

So, generally I don't like ice cream very much. But surprisingly, I came across this ice cream that I might call my new favorite ice cream! Haagan-Dazs Pistachio. It's very creamy, nutty and a very mellow flavor. I like to eat maybe 5 bites and put it away for next time. But yay for new ice cream flavors that I like! :)

Thoughtful!

Do you think you can change the nature of a relationship after the relationship has already been formed?

I want to believe yes, but its hard to believe. Once you are set in a particular way, not only is it hard to change, but is change even wanted? Most people in life tend to settle. They are set in their ways and do not change. Nor do they want to change. Not that they do not believe change would be better, but because things that are unfamiliar and unknown are just too terrifying. Why change things when they're not even all that bad?

I met someone who had the courage to change because that person was just not happy with the way things were in their life - even though it was fine. That person strived to want more, to want the best thing, not to just settle for the sake of stability and comfort. When you think about this action that this person took, you have to appreciate the fact that it took a lot of courage. How many of us just stay in our old pattern because its just comfortable? How many of us tend to not take the other fork in the path because we don't know where it goes and is just too damn terrified to find out?

Back to the nature of a relationship - I think it boils down to whether or not you are courageous enough to change.

The questions are as follows: Are you brave enough to change? Are you brave enough to come out of your bubble of comfort? Are you brave enough to have an exceptional life instead of just an ok one?

The Dark Knight

Watched this movie the other day. It was pretty good but Batman is one of my favorite super hero (along with Superman). I didn't like how it was 2.5 hours. I thought the movie was ending several times before it actually ended.

Katie Holmes would have made a much better Rachel of course and I would much rather have liked looking at Holmes than Gyllenhaal. Christian Bale - I like him. It was really nice watching him throughout! :)

OH RIGHT: I forgot about the legendary Heath Ledger performance of Joker - He was awesome. His performance was absolutely fantastic - hilarious and psychotic equals a perfect Joker.

MORE CAR PROBLEMS! UGH

Someone keyed my car yesterday - passenger side ... like 3 feet long. It's pretty bad. Silly enough - I burst into tears because I was so annoyed and mad! ...

I could have died :(

So ... my car started making funny noises while I was driving around. Apparently, my right front bolt things that hold my tire onto the car were coming loose. I already lost 2 of those nuts! I could have died because I drove that car from Sacramento to San Francisco (90+ miles). So I had to tighten the nuts on the tire yesterday and today I must go find me 2 more nuts to replace the ones that came off.

Pretty scary if you ask me!

Movie Review / Wanted

Wanted

IMDb's plot summary: "Wanted" tells the tale of one apathetic nobody's transformation into an unparalleled enforcer of justice. In 2008, we're introduced to a hero for a new generation: 25 year old employed slacker, WESLEY GIBSON. Wes is the most disaffected, cube-dwelling, clock-punching drone this planet has ever known. His boss chews him out hourly, his girlfriend ignores him routinely, and his life plods on in interminable boredom and routine. Everyone knows this disengaged slacker will amount to absolutely nothing, and so does he, until he meets the sexy, foxy woman named FOX, and then everything changes. Wes' estranged father is murdered, and the deadly Fox recruits him into The Fraternity, a secret society that trains him to avenge his father's death, by unlocking his dormant powers. And oh boy does he have powers, as she teaches Wes how to develop his lightning-quick reflexes and phenomenal agility, he discovers that The Fraternity lives by an ancient, unbreakable code: to carry out the death orders given by emotionless Fate itself. Wes, with his wickedly brilliant and sexy tutor, plus the paternal guidance of The Fraternity's enigmatic leader, SLOAN, young Wes grows to enjoy all the strength and success he ever wanted. But, slowly, he realizes there's more to his dangerous associates than meets the casual eye. And, as he wavers between new found heroism and vengeance, Wes will come to learn what no one can ever teach him; that he alone controls his destiny.

Angela: I haven't been to the movie theatre in a long time. My little sisters and I went to watch this movie. I had absolutely no expectations for it when I walked in and came out of the theatre absolutely in love with Angelina Jolie. She's so hot!! This movie will be up there on my personal list of good movies! :)

I recommend you watch it!!

Thoughtful

"Men don't settle because of the right woman. They settle down because they are finally ready for it. Whatever woman they're dating when they get ready is the one they settle down with, not necessarily the best one or the prettiest, just the one who happened to be on hand when the time got to be right. Unromantic, but still true."
