The MPRE

The MPRE is the multi-state professional responsibilities exam that is required in order for you to be sworn in to any bar. It's like a moral/ethics kind of test.

Well, I took that this morning and know that I DID NOT PASS. I studied less than 10 hours for that test unfortunately and honestly, I felt really hesitant about all the questions today. That serves me right. Oh well, I will take it again in November and hopefully I will have studied more diligently.

And for those of you not in law school, NO - I didn't fail this test because I'm not a moral person. I failed it because it is based on black letter laws - you actually have to memorize a lot of rules and laws in order to answer these questions. It's not like they're asking you "If you are an attorney and your client asks you to commit a crime of murder - do you do it or not?" I hope all of you know the answer is "NO, you do not do it!" :)

Have a GREAT day! :)
